Group Photo's

No Gathering could be complete without a group photo. First the whole gang sitting down waiting for the timer's on all the camera's to go off. This took about 20 goes and much running around and screaming.

Then it was Hugs and Goodbye's. When will we be together again? Hopefully Soon God willing.

Entertainment

Special Guest entertainment was flown in to celebrate the day. The 2 boys were on the guitar and the master was on vocals. Tommy sang an original song about his Dad.

Brunetti's

Any trip to Lygon St would not be complete without a visit to Brunetti's.

The ACTUAL 40th wedding anniversary dinner

The 4 Cawley sisters (Chris, Anne, Barbara and Vera) treated everyone to a fantastic Italian meal on Lygon St to celebrate Mammy and Dad's actual 40th wedding anniversary. Thanks Chris, Anne, Barbara and Vera.

Tommy's amazing gift

Tommy had everyone absolutely enthralled with the Amazing Needle and Thread predictions. Not only did it accurately predict the birth of Aidan and Emma, it foretold, much to Karen's horror, two more boys.

Seafood banquet

We had a delicious seafood banquet, here are some of the pictures: chilli and lemongrass crab with mussels, snapper, mediterranean claypot with seafood.

Happy Birthday Jeremy

Happy birthday to Jeremy, whose birthday it was yesterday. We went out to dinner with Mum and Dad Lau, Mum and Dad Lacey and Aunty Chris also joined us.

The Cawleys leaving

It was fantastic having all the visitors come over for the 40th wedding anniversary. The first of the visitors to leave were the Cawleys. They came over to visit us before going to the airport last Monday. They managed to squeeze in another viewing of Gerard's video before leaving.

They also tried to see if they can fit cutey Emma into their luggage and take her with them without anoyone noticing.

More pictures of the wigs!

We certainly made the most of Uncle Dominic's wigs....it seems Anne and Andy really started a fashion trend.

More fun and games

Girls just wanna have fun..... Anne, Sinead, Amanda, and Mammy enjoying themselves on the dance floor.

Later that evening, Tommy wow-ed the guests and the band with his impressive voice.

dinner ..... cont..... boys hard at work

The boys were given lots of jobs on the night: being paparazzi, gift bearers (they gave Grand-dad and themselves a hammer each, to build a tree house in the new property). No wonder they were exhausted by the end of the night.

The 40th Wedding Anniversary dinner

The first lot of surprise guests of the evening: Anne and Andy arriving in wigs. Anne had guests in stitches, and Mammy was horrified throughout her speech, "don't believe her", "it's not true".

Unfortunately we don't have photos of Mai, Mickey and the boys arriving, only a video. We will get that onto the blog as soon as we can.

Here you can see that all the siblings settling at the head table and enjoying the food after the surprises.

Moon cakes

We won't make you envious by showing you each of our 8 courses for the night.... but we finished the night with some moon cakes.

For Hon

Mum and Dad, Sophia and Jeremy came over for dinner on Saturday night. It was partly for Father's Day, and partly as a farewell for Dad, who will be leaving for Thailand in a few days' time.

For our entree, S+J bought over yummy champagne to go with the oysters. Before too long, the bubbly had gone to everyones' heads, as displayed by their behaviour.
