Musical Viva

We had more guests today: Mammy, Dad, and Marg came over for a bite to eat before their Musical Viva concert tonight. The Westminster Abbey choir were performing at the Arts Centre. Seeing that the weather has been quite warm lately, we had a few salads (courtesy of Anne, Thanks Anne!), and smoked trout from Marysville.

P.s. Gerry, we stayed at the same B+B (Fruit Salad Farm) that you, M+D stayed at a few years ago!

The Wadias

Mark, Karyn and Amber visited us at our "new" place (we have been very slack, and can't believe it's been a year since we have been here!). We went out to a nearby park after our dinner, and Amber certainly enjoyed it. Amber has really grown in the last few months, and is looking more like Karyn everyday.

Birthday - weekend away

Derek organised a weekend away to celebrate Sally's birthday. We had a B+B cottage that had a lovely fireplace, spa etc (we won't mention the insects). There were lots of walks around there, and we went for one to Stevenson's Falls (85m high), which was magnificent. We also visited the Warrandyte Dam.

Kylie and Brad's wedding

Kylie and Brad were married in a beautiful ceremony up in the Dandenong Mountains (Poet's Lane) last weekend. It was great to be there to help them celebrate their special day.

Monday, October 8, 2007

Derek was doing one of his cooking extravaganzas on Sunday...... the dishes MUST have been gourmet, judging by the size of the servings (roasted mushrooms with blue cheese, roasted mushrooms with freshly made pesto, and moussaka). After the feast, we went out for a little bike ride to burn off some of the calories.

Family gathering - missing Dad and Hon

Jeremy was home from Shepparton for the weekend, so Mum, J+S, and us went to a restaurant to belatedly celebrate Mooncake Festival. To celebrate this very traditional Chinese holiday, we of course went to a Greek restaurant for a seafood banquet.

Happy birthday to Peik Fei!

It was Peik Fei's birthday on Saturday, and Paul whisked her off to a romantic weekend in Daylesford. On their return, he prepared a scrumptious meal (hot pot) for a few of us, as you can see in the photos. Yes, he made the cake too.

Cutey Emma

Emma is changing constantly, and has everyone wrapped around her little fingers.

Williamstown

Later that day, Anne and Brendan joined us on a ferry ride across town to Williamstown. It was a fun day, enjoyed by all.

More photos from the Irish visitors

Chris spent her last weekend in Melbourne with us. We attended mass at St. Patrick's on the Sunday morning, and Mammy and Chris had to have a photo with Bishop Mannix.
