Dad (Lau)'s visit

Dad Lau was in Melbourne for a few days last week. He managed to squeeze in lots of things in his short time home, including a visit to the farm. Here he is inspecting the beehive on the farm.

Aunty Jas and Uncle Ron came over to dinner one evening. They brought over some yummy fish and (one of) Sally's favourites, snow pea sprouts.

Stephen and Karen's long quest for a new home has ended

Stephen and Karen found a lovely house just around the corner from their current home. Settlement is in August.

Aidan was very excited about the new place, he wrote, on the brochure, "Sold for the Lacey family", without his parents' knowledge.

Everyone else was keen to have a look also.

Aidan has already chosen his room, the only non-pink room in the house.

His other favourite spot in the house was in the Master bedroom, where there were two opposing mirrors. "Look, there are thousands of me"

Mother's Day

It is also mother's Day in Australia today and Mum received a big bunch of flowers.

MORE Photo's from Emma's Christening!!

Emma's Christening!!

The whole family were there for the Christening and also included 2 sets of Godparents Helen and Brian + Sally and Myself. The priest also recruited 2 helpers to hold the oil and a towel.

Emma's Christening!!

Emma's Christening was a great day. Emma of course was the star of the day and was wearing the Christening robe that Aidan wore at his Christening. Faye (Karen's Mum) removed the blue lining and added a pink ribbon, she also made some beautiful little pink booties. Emma didn't cry once even when the priest poured about 5L of holy water over her head. Lucky her Godmothers Helen and Sally were on hand to dry her hair.

Dad arrives home

Dad is home from Thailand for 8 days as he has a couple of appointments that he can't miss. We went out for some Chinese (at one of Dad's favorite restaurants) and ordered a special goat claypot dish suggested by the manager. It was very yummy.

Saturday Lunch

This weekend we invited Sophia, Jeremy and Brendan over for lunch. I had seen a recipe for fish stew in the paper during the week and had wanted to cook it all week. Luckily I was able to find some guinea pigs to experiment on :)
I got alot of help in the kitchen from Sophia and Sally! (Sally also made sure that an appropriate amount of taste testing was done) Jeremy supervised the chaos and kept everyone in check.

Quoting Gerard "modesty prevents me from telling you how good it was"

Dinner at Tracey's

Last weekend we went to Tracey's place for dinner. She cooked up a storm for us and it was all very yummy. It was great to catch up with Tracey, Sally T and Chrissy, it had been several months since we had seen them. Unfortunately Mariolyn was on call and was unable to join us.
