Chinese New Year and Australia Day

Sally particularly enjoyed Chinese New Year this year since it coincided with Australia Day and she had the day off to enjoy it!!! We celebrated by going over to Sally's uncle's place for a yummy dinner with everyone on New Year's Eve. Thanks Aunty Jas and Susan for all the fantastic dishes, and the doggy bag!!!
We also made some dumplings, pork with lemongrass, Chinese cabbage and ginger.

The Governor of Victoria had an open day to celebrate the national day. It was good to see what our tax money was being used for. We met up with Mam, Dad, Stephen, Karen, Aidan, Emma and Brendan there. It was fantastic, with Aboriginal music, BBQ, fairy/puppet show, face painting.

There were heaps of other entertainment in the Botanical Gardens, an animal farm, rides, dog rac, and a vintage car parade!!

Fun

We finally found a night where all of Sally's sisters and cousins were available for dinner. We went out to a local favourite to have an early Chinese New Year dinner, and to farewell Honoria. Can't believe she's been home for a few weeks already!

One of the specialists at Sally's work organised for a few of them to attend the Animal Hospital and see how animals are anaesthetised. Here you can see Sally holding a breathing tube for a horse!!

Mam and Dad and us packed a picnic on the weekend and went to Fitzroy Park. There was a concert on, and the weather was great. We had a nice relaxing evening enjoying the music.

Emma

Emma is such a cutie, and just look at those beautiful eye lashes.

Emma has a very infectious laugh, much like Aidan's.

Cooking up a storm

We had a "Slow Cook" day recently, and Jeremy, Sophia and Honoria were over to help us cook. We made ravioli from scratch, these were filled with roasted pumpkin and parmesan. We also made osso bucco and a lemon/lime cheesecake. It was VERY VERY yummy and lots of fun.

It was Jason's birthday recently, can't believe he's 25!! Still remember when he was only a baby. We had a party at Susan's friend's house, and there was SOOOOOOOOOOO much yummy food you'd think they had invited 100s of people. Of course it being Jason's party, there had to be karaoke!! Much fun was had by all.
(Dad, I included a picture of Jason's new car)

We visited Suk Hyun and Hyeok recently, and it was great to see them. Won is growing up so fast, and is such a cute and active boy. Suk Hyun is getting very close now, and is going to pop any day!!

We went to Day 2 of the Boxing Day match at MCG. It was a fantastic and very exciting day of play.

Eoin walking!!

I can't believe this was taken less than 2 weeks ago!! Eoin has come on leaps and bounds and is walking so well now.

Christmas at Stephen and Karen's

This year was the first year that Mammy and Dad didn't host Christmas lunch. Stephen and Karen had everyone over for Christmas lunch which was a great success. There was loads of excitement when all the presents were opened, by young and old. Both Jake and Aidan got Lego (among other things), Eoin was more interested in the wrapping paper than his presents, and Emma had great fun with her pram and two dollies.
